How to Connect Clay to Albato

Clay is a no-code platform that helps RevOps, growth, and go-to-market (GTM) teams to organize contact leads, track interactions with customers, and build meaningful connections with key stakeholders. By connecting Clay and Albato, you can easily automate outreach workflows and optimize your team's performance. Follow the steps below to link Clay to Albato and set up your automation.

Step 1. Make a connection

• Log in to your account on our platform.

• Go to the Apps section and click Add a connection.

• Search for Clay, click the app icon, and click Add a connection again.

• Name your connection and click Continue.

Step 2. Set up the trigger

• Go to the Automation section, create a new automation, and define the trigger.

Triggers are events that trigger an automation. All triggers run in real time; that is, data is transferred the moment the event occurs.

• Once the trigger is set, click Continue.

• A Webhook URL will be generated — copy it and click Continue.

• In a new tab log in to your Clay account.

• In your workspace click on Add enrichment.

• Select HTTP API from the list.

• Set the method to POST and paste the copied Webhook URL into the Endpoint field.

• Click the Body field and compose the request in JSON format: set your own variable keys and assign values based on columns in your Clay table.

• Then, click on Save.

Step 3. Set up the action in Albato

• Tap on the Actions button on your Clay workspace.

• Choose Import.

• Click on Monitor webhook.

• And copy your URL.

• Back in Albato, then add the action to your automation.

Actions are what Albato performs when your automation is running. Actions also allow you to transfer data to other apps and systems.

• Select the Clay app from the list.

• Choose the action you need in the Actions field, then click Continue.

• Paste the copied before URL into the Albato URL Clay field.

• To enhance data transfer security, generate a token on your Clay page.

• Click on Create.

• Copy the generated authentication token and set the response format to JSON.

• Go back to the Albato page and insert the token into the Auth token field.

• Finally, specify the variable keys and the data values you want to send to Clay. Click on Save.
