How to Connect Telegram Bot (Albato) to Automate Data Transfer

The Telegram Bot (Albato) lets you send data from various systems to Telegram. This includes leads, requests, deals, status change notifications, contact information, and more.

Before setting up integrations with Telegram connect the app to Albato.

To do this, go to the Apps section and click the Add a connection button.

Select the app and click the Add a connection button.

Come up with a name for your connection and click the Continue button.

Token activation

To link your Messenger account to Albato, just follow these steps:

  • Find the @AlbatoBot bot in Telegram. It'll have an orange logo on its avatar.
  • Send a command in the chat: /start and your token.

How to work with groups

To send messages to a group:

  • Add @AlbatoBot to a group.
  • Send the command /start and your token as a message in a group.

If everything is correct, the bot will reply with this message «Connection with token: XXXX successfully created. Now you can create an Albato automation using this connection».

You may use Telegram for several connections and receive data in different chats. For example, data for sales department is in one chat and for support department in another.  In this case you need to create a group and add @AlbatoBot there. Then send Albato token to this group. For further connections, repeat the setup with adding @AlbatoBot to a group chat.

Next, return to the Albato connection settings and click the «Save» button. The status in the «Chat is linked» field will change from «no» to «yes».

The connection is ready! You can use your Telegram connection with +600 most popular apps.

How to prepare data

If you need to transfer a lot of data, like advertising data or orders, you'll need to use the "Rows gluing" tool to organize it.
