# How to connect Tinify to Albato

IN THIS ARTICLE

[TinyPNG uses smart lossy compression techniques](https://albato.com/apps/tinify) to reduce the file size of your WEBP, JPEG and PNG files.

**Available actions**

> Actions are what Albato performs when your automation is running, Actions also allow you to transfer data to other apps and systems

-   Compressing images while preserving the metadata of the source file
-   Resizing images
-   Converting images
-   Compressing images
-   Saving to cloud services (Beta)

Before setting up integrations with **Tinify** connect the app to Albato.

To do this, go to the **Apps** section and click the **Add a connection** button.

Select the app and click the **Add a connection** button.

Come up with a name for your connection, enter your API key and click the **Continue** button.

### How to get API key

Go to the [Tinify Developer API](https://tinyjpg.com/developers).

Enter your data and email, click the **Get your API key** button.

Open the email from [support@tinify.com](mailto:support@tinify.com) and click the **Visit your dashboard** button.

Copy the key.

Paste the key into the Albato connection field and click the **Continue** button.

The connection is ready
