# How to Connect to Ironclad

IN THIS ARTICLE

[Ironclad](https://ironcladapp.com/) is a digital platform that helps legal and business teams create, store, and manage contracts online. It allows team members to work together on contracts, regardless of their location or timezone. By connecting Ironclad with Albato, you can automate your contract lifecycle management. Follow the steps below to set it up.

1.  [Log in](https://albato.com/app/user/auth/login?lang=en) to your Albato account.

2.  Go to the **Apps section** and click **Add a connection**.

3.  Search for **Ironclad**, select it, and click the **Add a connection button**.

4.  Enter a name for your connection.

5.  To get your **Client ID** and **Client Secret** and register your client application, [**log in**](https://ironcladapp.com/) to your Ironclad account in a new tab.

6.  Click on your user profile dropdown in the top-right corner and select **Company Settings**.

7.  In the left sidebar, go to the **API** tab.

> Note: The API tab will only be visible if you have the API add-on enabled for your instance.

8.  Click the **Create new app** button.

9.  A pop-up will appear. Enter a name for your OAuth application and click **Create app**.

10.  You’ll receive a **Client ID** and **Client Secret**, copy them.

> Important: Save the **Client Secret**, as it won’t be shown again.

11.  Complete the application details and click **Save Changes**.

-   Title
-   Description
-   Display Image
-   Grant Types
-   Redirect URIs (e.g., "[http://localhost](http://localhost/)" for development)
-   Requested Resource Scopes

12.  Paste your **Client ID** and **Client Secret** into the fields on the Albato page and click **Continue**.
