# How to Connect Datadog to Albato

IN THIS ARTICLE

[Datadog](https://www.datadoghq.com/) is a monitoring and security platform that provides insights into infrastructure, app performance, and logs. [Connect](https://albato.com/apps/datadog) Datadog with Albato to integrate it with over 800+ apps, including AI tools like [Claude](https://albato.com/apps/claude_ai_anthropic) and [Gemini](https://albato.com/apps/gemini_ai). Follow the steps below to set it up.

1.  [Log in](https://albato.com/app/user/auth/login?lang=en) to your Albato account.

2.  Go to the **Apps section** and click **Add a connection**.

3.  Search for **Datadog**, select it, and click **Add a connection** again.

4.  Name your connection.

5.  To get your API and Application Keys, [open your Datadog account](https://us5.datadoghq.com/account/login?next=%2Fhelp%2Fquick_start) in a new tab.

6.  Click on **Your Account** and go to **API Keys**.

7.  Tap **New Key**, enter a name, and click **Create Key**.

8.  Copy your **API Key**.

9.  Then, go to **Application Keys** and click **New Key**. Enter a name and click **Create Key**.

10.  Click **Edit**, specify scopes for the metric, and tap **Save**. If you use a Custom action in Albato, you need to add the appropriate scopes to your key. The scopes depend on the specific entity you plan to work with.

11.  Copy your **Application Key**.

12.  Return to Albato and paste both the **API Key** and **Application Key** into the fields. Click **Continue**.
