How to connect Adalo to Albato

💡 Please note, each application developed by users in Adalo has dynamic IDs, collection IDs and its own API keys. Thus, it is important to create a new connection in Albato for each Adalo app. In this tutorial, we will describe the connection setup using the example of one application and one collection. If you need to work with another collection or application, then you can repeat the setup following the steps below and changing the input parameters.

How to connect Adalo to Albato

Before setting up integrations with Adalo, connect the app to Albato.

To do this, go to the Apps section in your Albato account and click the Add a connection button.

Select Adalo and click the Add a connection button.

Come up with a name for your connection.

Enter your API Key, APP ID, and Collection ID.

Click the Continue button.

How to get API Key

Sign in to your Adalo account. Go to the Database section.

Next, select the collection you need - in our case, this is Test Collection.

You will see a page with the number of entries (or without them, but this is not so important). At this step, we are interested in the URL in the address bar of the browser, where the required IDs will be displayed.

💡 Sometimes when you click on a collection, the URL may not be displayed, then try click on three dots next to the collection name and click on the Edit button.

Please note that if you have no collections in your account at all, then the connection may give an error.

Here you need to copy the App ID (it comes after the /apps tag in the address bar), as well as the Collection ID. Paste the copied values into the Albato connection fields.

You will also need one more parameter - API key. To copy it, go to the Settings section, and then open the App Access section.

To generate a key, click the Generate Key button. The API key will be displayed, copy and paste it into the Albato connection field.

Go back to your Albato account and fill in the connection fields. Click the Continue button.

We're all done! The connection will appear in your Albato Apps section and you will be able to view the custom fields of your collection.
