    Сonnecting Apps in Albato

    IN THIS ARTICLE

When you connect an app to Albato, you need to authorize Albato to access your account in that service. This authorization allows Albato to perform the actions you configure in your automations. Your data always remains yours — Albato only accesses your account to perform the tasks you explicitly set up.

    Authorization methods

Different services use different authorization methods. In most cases, you will connect an app using one of these options: API key, authorization token, or OAuth.

    API key or authorization token

Some services provide a unique key that allows Albato to access your account. You generate this key in the service and paste it into Albato when adding a connection.

    OAuth authorization

Some services use OAuth. In this case, you simply log in to your account through a secure authorization window and grant Albato access.

    • Use the search bar to find the app you want to connect.
    • Select the app and click Add a connection again.
    • Complete the authorization process depending on the method used by the service.

    For example:

    • If the service uses an API key, you will need to generate the key in the service and paste it into Albato.
    • If the service uses OAuth, simply log in to your account and confirm access.
    • In some cases, additional configuration may be required. For example, services like Pipedrive may require you to copy the URL automatically generated by Albato and paste it into the integration settings of your account.

Usually, the field for this URL can be found in the Integrations or API section of the service.

    Testing the connection

Before building an automation, test the connection to make sure everything works correctly. To do this, open the Apps settings, choose your connection, and click the Test button. If the authorization is configured incorrectly, the integration may not work or may return an error.

    Updating the connection

If something changes in your account (for example, new permissions, pages, or documents), you may need to update the connection.

To do this, open the Apps settings, choose your connection, and click the Update button.
