How to Share an Automation by Link

Before, to share an automation with a colleague or client in Albato, you had to recreate it manually. Now you can generate a special link for any automation and send it to another user. When the recipient opens the link, the automation is automatically added to their account.
This is useful for sharing automation templates with colleagues, clients, or your community.
Important: When you add an automation via a link, app connections do not transfer. You need to create your own connections and configure the fields if needed.
How sharing via link works
You need to generate a link and send it to the recipient. When they open it, they can add the automation to their account. After that, they only need to connect their services and finish the setup. Follow the steps below.
Step 1. Open the automation section
Log in to your Albato account. Go to the My Automations section.
Find the automation you want to share and click the … (three dots) icon on the card. Select Share from the dropdown menu.
You can share any automation, including active and running ones.
Step 2. Copy and send the link
In the window that opens, you will see the public link to the automation.
Optionally, add a short description or instructions for the recipient. Click Copy link and send it to the recipient.
Step 3. Add the automation from the link
The recipient opens the link in their browser.
If they do not have an Albato account, they can sign up from this page. An Add Automation window will appear with the automation structure and the author's notes.
The user clicks Add Automation, and it is added to their account.
Step 4. Completing the setup
The user opens the added automation. They add their own apps connections at each step, configure the fields and mapping.
Once setup is complete, the automation is ready to run.
